From a moviegoer’s perspective, the 2026 horror year offers momentum and variety. The awards and festival pipeline into 2027 will come into focus once the fall festivals lock, and it would not be surprising to see at least one late-stage specialty acquisition join the party. For now, the job is simple, cut crisp trailers, hold the mystery, and let the screams sell the seats.
